Friday

So I'm glad it's Friday and we're out for the weekend. However, as Hanna said earlier, I have to take the SAT tomorrow. So, that kind of put a damper on my weekend. I'm definitely not looking forward to it, and I'm a little worried about how I'm going to do. I don't think a test like this should be considered in whether or not you get into college. It's not really measuring what you've actually learned in high school. I'm done ranting now. I promise. :)

Speaking of taking the SAT, I should probably go to sleep since I have to get up early! Oh, well.

I plan on decorating my Christmas tree this weekend, which I'm excited about. I've decorated our tree for as long as I can remember and I really enjoy doing it. I'm starting to get into the Christmas spirt, with decorating our tree and all. Well, I'll try to post a picture when I'm finished.
Anyways, I hope you all have a good weekend. Comment and let us know if you have any exciting plans. :)

Book Review: The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

Since I recently finished reading The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, I decided to do a book review for you guys! I read this over Thanksgiving break, as I was spending a lot of time in cars traveling. :)

The book is told from the point-of-view of teenager Mara Dyer. The book starts with her waking up in the hospital. She had been in an accident that she has no memory of. Her best friend, her boyfriend, and his sister all died. To escape the ghosts of her past, she convinces her family to move to Florida. Once there, she tries to have a normal live. But things aren't that easy. She sees things that aren't really there. She meets a boy who seems to know a lot about her. As Mara tries to cope with her new life, she starts to remember what happened the night her friend died. Now she has to find out if she's truly crazy, or if there is something else to blame for her problems.
Hope you enjoy!
Lots of Love, Macy

Hi everyone. Our blog has been under construction today. As it turns out, I'm not very good with technology. I was trying to update our blog a little with a new template. But I couldn't figure it out, so I went back to old reliable. Sorry for all of the mess!

Tomorrow Macy takes the SAT. I feel so bad for her!

Have a great weekend!

Macy's Wishlist

Hey guys!! So, I haven't posted anything in a while. Unfortunately, I've been really busy with school and everything. :( But anyways, I'm going to try and do more. So I've been meaning to make a little wishlist of a few of the items I really want right now. So here it is.....

The boots are from Frye, and they are called Melissa Button Boots. They are some of the brands bestsellers. I absolutely love these boots and have been wanting them forever. Personally, I really like this light brown color. However, if you think you'd like them in a different color, check them out. They are made in practically every color! Anyways, I think my aunt's getting me a pair for Christmas. I'm really excited!

The skirt is from ASOS. I really love this skirt because of the length. I think it would look adorable with tights in winter or without in summer. I've been looking for a black skirt for a while, and this one is perfect! It also comes in navy, burgundy, and a pretty burnt orange.

This watch is from Fossil. They have really pretty watches as well as other jewelry. One of the main things I love about this watch is the color. I really like rose gold jewelry, but it's kind of hard to find sometimes. If you aren't a fan of rose gold, I'm pretty sure they have this watch in silve and regular gold.

I really like this coat. I like red coats because they make me think of the holidays. This jacket is from Dorothy Perkins. If you haven't checked out this site before, you definitely should.

So this was a long post, but as you can see, I really love to talk about clothes. Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful day!

About Hanna

Hi everyone! I just realized I never took the chance to formally introduce myself. So here it goes! Please don't get bored. I also apologize if this sounds like my life story. Just bear with me.
My name is Hanna Wilson and I am 16 years old. I live in a small town. I am a junior in high school. I love photography. It's my passion. I became interested in photography almost three years ago. Since I have a love for photography I began to collect vintage cameras. I have over 50 as of right now!
I love anything vintage. Vintage clothes, vintage art, vintage furniture, you name it! I wear vintage dresses the majority of the time. Don't judge me! I feel pretty when I'm wearing dresses. Who doesn't like to feel pretty?
I love music. I play the ukulele and the harmonica. (yes, the harmonica counts) My favorite bands are Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Never Shout Never.
On October 15, 2011 I got to meet Christofer Drew of Never Shout Never at his concert in Myrtle Beach. I know, I'm super lucky. :) I've loved Christofer Drew ever since he began his career.

My other favorite band is Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. There is just something about their music that makes me feel amazing. I would love meet someone who could stand still during one of their songs. I know I can't! On May 16th I got to see them for the first time at the Fillmore in Charlotte, NC. As I drove up to the venue I saw them standing outside of their tour bus. I stopped and got my pictures made with them. I was incredibly happy. I know I look silly in some of these pictures, but it's okay.
On September 27th I got the chance to see them again at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in Asheville with my friend Ryan.  I got to meet them again :) I showed Alexander and Jade the pictures from last time and they signed them!
After I graduate high school my family plans on moving to northern California. We've been four times, I believe? Anyway, I love it there. So I plan to go to college at Humboldt State University. When I'm older I hope to photograph musicians, such as Edward Sharpe. My dream is to one day be their photographer. I hope I can achieve this dream!
I hope you all enjoyed learning more about me, hopefully I didn't bore you to death. But enough about me, tell me a little about you :)
-xoxo Hanna
Just thought I would share a few photos of my room! I hope you enjoy.

While you're reading this you should check out my cousin Jordan's blog.
I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend! We'll post more soon.

My Life Documented By My Phone

This is what my life has consisted of this November. I can't wait to see what December holds!
-xoxo Hanna

Now that Thanksgiving is over, I feel like it's already Christmas time! But the weather is confusing me. Yesterday it was almost 80 degrees! I'm ready for some snow! Who's with me?

Friday, November 23, 2012

Hi everyone! It's Hanna. I had fun making my November/ December wish list. I know it's small, but I still have time to add more. The first are iPhone lenses, one is a fisheye, the others: Telephoto and Wide Angle. How cool are they? Pretty cool if you ask me. 2. This is the perfect fall dress. I could wear so many different colored tights with it! 3. This dress was designed by Elsie of A Beautiful Mess. It's so perfect. I love the cute colar and the adorable houses! I'll have this dress one day. Here are the links to the items:

Have an awesome weekend everyone!

Don't they look delicious? They were! I have two left, I may go snack on one now :) Yummy!

Hi everyone!
I hope everyone has had a lovely Thanksgiving.
I know I sure did!
I made some delicious red velvet cupcakes.
Did I mention they were delicious?
I'll definitely put up a picture of them later.
Today we are putting up my Christmas tree.
Last night I went downtown to see the Christmas lights and now I'm in the Christmas spirit, finally!
Now I can't stop listening to She & Him's: A Very She and Him Christmas.
It's lovely.
Take a listen, you won't regret it.

Tutorial: Picture Holder

Hey guys! I just finished making this picture holder^^
It's really easy and fun to make, so I wanted to show ya'll how to do it. Hanna is the one who showed me how to do it, and I finished mine in one day. That being said, let's get started. :)

1. First off, you need a book that you don't plan on reading again. (it works better if it's thicker. I'm guessing it would work with a thinner book, but I haven't tried)
2. Next, split it in the center. It doesn't have to be exact, just somewhere close.
3. Starting on one side of the half, start folding the pages towards the center. Try to bring the edge of the page as close to the center of the book as possible. Make sure and flatten the crease so that it lays somewhat flat.
4. Continue till that half is all folded.
* Sorry, my numbering got off. Did I mention I'm terrible with computers?
4.Now start on the other side, folding them towards the center as well.
5. This is what it should look like. Now, just fold the covers the same way you did the pages.
6. This is what it should look like when it's finished. It doesn't have to be perfect, that's part of what makes it so special. Now, you're ready to add your pictures.

I hope you all enjoy this tutorial. If you have any questions or don't understand anything, just leave a comment, and we'll try our best to help. Also, if you do this, post a picture of yours in the comments. We would love to see it. Anyways, have a wonderful day. Lots of love, Macy

Book Review: Saving June

Hey everybody! I absolutely love to read and love recommending books I enjoy to other. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies, and I always like hearing how others react to books I like. Today, I just finished reading Saving June by Hannah Harrington, so I thought I would just do a quick review.

I've actually had this book for a while, but I hadn't had the chance to read it until now. I finished it in about two days. However, I don't know if it's because it's a easy read or because I'm just a hermit who spends my days reading! :) Anyways, here's a quick summary:
The book is told from the perspective of Harper Scott. The book starts with Harper at her sister's wake. Her sister, June, killed herself a week before her high school graduation. Her sister had always wanted to California, so Harper gets the idea to go to California to spread her sister's ashes. The only part of her plan is that her parents don't know anything about the trip. Harper along with her friend Laney, and Jake, a stranger who seems to have an unknown connection to June, head to California. On the trip, Harper thinks she's learning who the real Jake is, until she discovers that he's keeping a secret that could change her life.
This isn't one of my all-time favorite books, but I really enjoyed it. The character seem so real and they're easy to relate to. I would definitely recommend this book. However, I should warn you that you might shed a few tears....
I hope you all enjoy the book if you chose to read it. I love to read, so I plan on doing many book reviews in the future.
Lots of Love, Macy <3

Hi!

Hi! This is me, Hanna. Macy and I are in love with anything vintage, and that's part of what will be posted on our blog. It's slowly developing, just give it time! It'll get better, we promise. <3 xoxo
Hey, I'm Macy. Hanna and I are best friends who happen to share a lot of common interests. We love a lot of the same blogs, especially A Beautiful Mess. We hope that this blog can inspire others to be themselves. There are so many things that we hope to do, but like Hanna said, we are new to blogging so it's going to take us a while to figure out. So, please be patient and hopefully we can start getting things up and running. Thanks. <3

Welcome!

Hi! It's Hanna. This is our new blog. We're new at this so don't make fun of us! We get our inspiration from our most favorite blog: A Beautiful Mess. We hope someday somebody will enjoy our blog as much as we enjoy A Beautiful Mess. Goodbye for now :)
Hey:) This is our new blog!!!!
